fl0w Trophy Guide

fl0w, originally a flash based game made its way to the Playstation 3 in late 2007. Just recently it received a update and with it a nice trophy list. So if any of you are like me, I booted it up and played all it over again just to net some precious trophies to my gamer card. Along the way I found most guides I came across did not really help me with a few more difficult aspects of the game, that you are required to understand to grab a few of the harder trophies. Well, don’t fret I am here to help make sense of the game and help you find the easiest path to getting that 100%, because we all think life should be easy, right? Well, lets get to work!

Gold – Zen
Leave the game idle for 30 minutes during the ending credits.
So this one is really not to bad, if you have beaten the game you can simply load the last creature, which takes you to the credits and hit the home button. Go grab a ham sandwich and come back about 30 minutes later and its yours.

Bronze – Adventure
Start the first campaign after installing.
………….

Bronze – Friendship
Complete any campaign with four players.
So, this one sounds like you would need to get a bunch of people over that probably don’t know what the hell fl0w is and half time you’ll be yelling at them to stop eating you. Fortunately you can do this yourself. All you need to do is get the depth that is before the ending depth with the egg. Once there hold the home button and change the controller to #2, then to #3, then #4. Now you can move it back to #1 and you will have all 4 creatures on the screen, simply eat the egg and the trophy will pop.

Bronze – Giant
Complete any campaign with a creature of 25 segments or longer.
Well this one is a tad bit tricky. To understand how to get this you have to understand how to grow your creature. To do this you have to have a consecutive line of red health segments. How this works is, your body will start initially with a empty spot, to fill it you must eat a piece of food. Once filled you can eat a red gem and it will add a red health ring to that segment. Be careful not eat to much as food had a rating or a value. If it has one piece then its the lowest in quality and will sometimes take a few to move to the next segment. The best way to get this trophy is to use the creature that turns red when a button is activated. Kill everything in the level without eating anything, once you reach the bottom depth move all the way to the top and slowly eat until a segment is filled then eat a gem. If you pass up a segment, don’t worry once you reach the last segment it will add a total segment to your body and start from the beginning. Do this until you fill 25 consecutive segments and eat the egg at the end of the level.

Bronze – Fashion
Decorate your creature with more than 10 alternating segments.
This trophy is somewhat ambiguous with its description, although not hard once you discover what you need to do. So when you eat food you fill a segment, if you eat a red gem on the same segment it adds a red health ring. By eating a red gem you have added, often times a wing or distinct characteristic. If you eat another red gem without eating any food you will advance that segment again to a level 2, lets say. So as far as I know you can have 4 levels, level 0 which is can be filled by eating food but no red ring. Level 1 is filled with a red health ring, level 2 without eating food another red gem adds a bigger wing, and level 3 adding the largest wing. So for the fashion trophy you must alternate these segments, varying the levels. Once you have 10 the trophy pops, no need to eat the egg at the end of the campaign.

Bronze – Vegetarian
Eat all foods in a campaign without eating any advanced creatures.
Here, all you really need to do is move from one depth to the next eating all food that you can find, while ignoring the larger organisms.

Bronze – Cannibalism
Eat all advanced creatures in a campaign without eating any food.
This has got to be the hardest trophy, and its only a bronze =( Here you need to move to each depth killing only the advanced creatures. Be very careful not to eat any food or the food that is dropped by an advanced creature when killed. The best creature to use it the yellow hook creature that turns a greenish color and can paralyze any creature. While in the greenish form all food and creatures will move away from you. This trophy is somewhat luck because you need to be able to eat the egg at the end without eating any of the food surrounding it. Use the greenish mode while you move down towards it and if you do not hit it dead on, move back to the depth above and try again.

Bronze – Gratitude
Consume all credit foods.
For each title during the credits there is a food piece to eat. Grab each food before moving down a depth, make sure you do because you are unable to move back up if you miss one.

Bronze – Devious
Paralyze the same creature 5 times without killing it.
Here you want to use the yellow hook creature that turns green. When green it can paralyze any creature. Simply find a depth with a single, or even multiple advanced creatures and continuously paralyze them without killing them until the trophy pops.

Bronze – Memory
Take more than 10 screenshots.
Here you want to take 10 or more screen shots. How you might ask? Well you will need the expansion pack to have the ability to take screen shots. The logo on the trophy above is the organism you want to eat to take it. A yellow glow and sound will trigger once eaten counting down until it reaches the last segment. Take 10 or more and its yours for the taking.

Silver – Beauty
Complete any campaign without getting hurt.
Fairly simple you can get this by just swimming down each depth straight to the egg, while ignoring everything.

Silver – Peace
Complete any campaign without eating anything.
Same idea here, just move quickly through each depth while avoiding everything.

Silver – Swift
Complete any campaign within 120 seconds.
Easily done using the very first creature, and just move down as fast as you can to the egg at the bottom. Be sure to eat the egg.

Gold – Gaia
Eat every level complete egg.
Complete each level including the credits egg and this trophy will pop.
